The main reasons about why the World War II started are kind of complex although the outbreak of war was trigger by the Germany’s invasion of Poland. The underneath reasonswere that the German people were very unhappy about the treaty and thought that it was too harsh. Germany could not afford to pay the money and during the 1920s the people in Germany were very poor.There were not many jobs and the price of food and basic goods was high. People were dissatisfied with the government and voted to power a man who promised to rip up the Treaty of Versailles. His namewas Adolf Hitler. When Adolf Hittler became a Chancellor of Germany in 1933 he immediately began secretly building up Germany’s army and weapons. Germany invaded Poland on September 1, 1939. Britainand France had previously warned that they would honor their alliances to Poland and issued an ultimatum to Germany: withdraw or war would be declared. Germany declined, and what became World War IIwas declared by the British and French, without entering the war effectively.
The consequences of the World War II were very extended. After of course the massive number causalities inflicted and thephysical ravaging of the nations, the biggest consequence of WW2 was the Soviet Union's occupation of eastern Europe, which allowed the forceful spread of Communism and set the stage for the Cold War,which consumed the next half-century.

 1944 - June 6, the Allied Expeditionary Force under Dwight Eisenhower lands on the coast of northernFrance on what will later be called "D-Day". The "Second Front" that Stalin has been demanding for three years is now open.
 1945 - April 30, Hitler commits suicide, shortly before the fall of Berlinand surrender of German forces in Europe.
 1945 - USA develops the atomic bomb, and successfully uses it in August to force the surrender of Japan
