The sonata k.545 was composed by Mozart in 1788. Mozart classified this piece as one of the easyones, sonata facile is the real name which means easysonata. The sonatas has three movement, thefirst one in allegro, the second one in andante and the last one in rondo but in this analysis, only thefirstmovement will be analysed. The sonata (movement 1 in 4/4) is divided into three main parts, theexposition, the development and recapitulation.Theexposition (m.1-28) is the first part of the first movement; it starts in bar 1 to bar 28.Theexposition is the part where the composer presents us his main twothemes. The exposition startswith two phrases (measure 1,2 and 3,4). The beginning of the exposition starts with a singing firsttheme which outlines thetonic chord of C major. The rhythm is quite slow at the beginning and thebeginning is also dolce, sweet, and smooth, legato. This is the primary theme. Thestart is verylyrical.Chord progression (m.1-4)m.1  C to Cm.2  G7 to Cm.3  F to Cm.4  G7 to CThe next part is just scales played going up and downvery fast. The first scale in measure 5 is a scaleof F to F. In measure 6 its a scale from Cto C, measure 7 it is a scale of dm to G7and measure 8, C toC, m.9: dm to dm,m.10 : F to D7. This kind of pattern of scales going up and down is called asequence. The theme ends with therepetition of G majorchords whichindicates the modulation to G major.
