In Mexico and in many places of the world, there are different types of psychologicalproblems about eating, such as anorexia and bulimia. The most dangerous are anorexia and bulimia. It’s more common in teenagers, especially girls. The eating disorders are defined byabnormal eating habits. That may involve either insufficient or excessive food intake to the determinate of an individuals physical and mental health.
Anorexia is an eating disorder that isabout immoderate food restriction and irrational fear of gaining weight. As the author Richard G. said “Diets are often hidden behind a supposed vegetarianism” Psychology: the scienceof the mind and the conduct (2007). Most of the anorexic people denies that they have problems. Their problem is that they want to be thin and they have a big fear about being fat.People with this problem are more likely to lead to dead by not eating.
Bulimia is an eating disorder characterized by binge eating and purging it. “Bulimia is considered to be morecommon than anorexia” (Gordon, 2001). This kind of process to be thin may cause you death. So this girls have to be checked by a psychologist because is also a mental problem. Thismental disorder is more common in adolescents from 14 to 21 years.
Eating disorders are much more than being on a diet. Is an Illness thatcan cause you death. This disease are causecommonly for wanting to be part of the world social stereotypes. We need to stop this wrong way to be in shape. Because this isn’t a disease you get, this is a disease you make for your ownand you are killing yourself, so you can be in shape in more other ways.
