In this black history month I have chosen to speak about Antonio Valencia, who is one of the best soccer player from Ecuador and now he is playingin an international team Manchester United from England. Antonio Valencia is the first black player from Ecuador to get a 30 million contract from an international team. He is an example of dedicationand effort for all the people who dream to play soccer.
Antonio Valencia is a black soccer player from Ecuador who was born in an Lago Agrio,Ecuador(that is one of some cities in my country in whyexist a lot of black people).Valencia since he was little helped his mother sell drinks outside the stadium and also he used to pick up empty glass bottles for sell and get money to buy food or playsoccer. He begin his career in soccer when he was fifteen with a soccer team from his city .And his professional debut was in 2003 with El Nacional(is one of the popular teams in my country and thepeople who own the club are police officers).He was a superstar playing in different clubs so when he was eighteen the Ecuadorian National Team choose him to play in the world cup. The internationalclubs were so interested in him because he play soccer really good that they offer a lot of contracts so he decide to move to Europe and play in a Spanish Team .Later Real Madrid and Manchester Unitedoffered him a contract but he choose Manchester because they offer him 30 million dollar contract.
Antonio Valencia is one of the biggest inspiration for people who play soccer in Ecuador because hedid not have a lot of opportunities but with effort he get a 30 million contract. Also in my country it continues existing a lot of discrimination towards the black people and when Antonio Valencia wentto play in a Europe club it opens many doors to black people , now they have more opportunities.
