Carlos Roberto DuranSamaniego is a former Panamanian boxer (nicknamed "Manos de Piedra" or "El Cholo") was born on June 16, 1951. Duran is widely recognized as the best lightweight (135 pounds) of all time, as well as the largest Latin American boxer and one of the best pound for pound the world in their moment of glory, and all the history of boxing. He defeated the other champions lightweight contemporaries such asStephen of Jesus and Suzuki-Guts-Ishimatzu World Boxing Council, and was able to bring Latino boxing at the highest levels, facing many of the greatest boxers of all times in different categories boxing, performing memorable battles. ESPN ranked him at No. 6 on the list of "Top 50 Boxers of History", while for The Ring magazine is the number 5 on the list of the best fighters pound for historicallibra.1 In 2003, the same publication awarded 28th place in its list of "100 greatest punchers in boxing history."
Early
