My country Bangladesh:
Bangladesh is a country located in South Asia, it´s surrounded mostly India, except for a small border by Burma. It´s capital is Dhakaand it´s population is at about 150 million people. Bangladesh is one of the most populated countries in the world. The currency in Bangladesh is the Taka; the most spoken language is Bengali, butthere are many others languages like Arabic or English. We live in a parliamentary democracy and our president is Zillur Rahman. The main religion in Bangladesh is Islam, almost 90% of the populationpractice Islam, there are also other religions like Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianism in a reduced group of people. Bangladesh climate is tropical whit a light winter from October to March and a hothumid summer from March to June, a monsoon season from June to October provides the most of the country rainfall.
The major cities of Bangladesh are Dhaka, Chittagong, Narayanganj, Khulna, Sylhet andBarisal. The culinary tradition has close relations with Indian cooking and the Middle East, but also has its own unique characteristics. Rice and curry are traditional ingredients. The typical food inBangladesh is the Panta Ilish, it has fish, onions, rice and encurts; and one of our typical sweets is the Chomchom. Bangladeshi daily life is replete whit traditions and festivals that reflect ourunique culture. The sari is the most used clothes by Bangladeshi women, in urban areas some women wear Western clothing, including men, these clothes are the most use. However, men also wear thekurta-pajama combination, often on religious occasions.
