*WHAT IS IT?

Graffiti are inscriptions or anonymous signs drawn or painted in walls of buildings.
It is realized manually with aerosols, usuallyat night.
There are many topics that the graffiti can express .It goes from the playful, informative and ideological things* up to music bands* or messages of love*.
The authors of this type of artremain largely anonymous.
The graffiti can take different styles or forms: tags* (signatures or passwords), throw ups* (the name of two or three letters forming a rounded unit), among others.*HISTORY

By the end of the decade of 1960, it started to develop probably the most representative graffiti, which were in the subway of New York City*. Known as young writers coming from marginal,they represent a subculture of the street, spontaneous and underground, connected with rap music and break dance.

*Keith Haring was an artist and social activist whose workresponded to the New York City street culture of the 1980s. Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Haring grew up in Kutztown and was interested in art from an early age. At the age of 19 Haring moved to New YorkCity, where he was inspired by graffiti art. ***
*Jean- Michel Basquiat
Was an American artist. His career in art began as a graffiti artist in New York City in the late 1970s, and in the 1980sproduced *Neo-expressionist painting. *Basquiat died of a heroin overdose on August 12, 1988, at the age of 27. ***
