COMPARATIVE FORMS COMPARE ONE THING/ITEM/PERSON WITH ANOTHER.
The most common comparative forms are ADJECTIVES with the suffix- er or with use of more. The object ofthe comparison is most commonly introduced with than.

Comparatives often say 2 things are different in quality or quantity or that something becomes different by changing over time
Ex.
Our dog isfatter than yours, isn´t it?
Its getting hotter and hotter

Superlative forms involve comparison by stating that one thing has a unique quality. A superlative defines a specific member of a set. Anadjective with an-est ending or wich is preceded by most is a common marker of a superlative form.
Ex.
Tiger woods is the richest golfer of the year 2010
Taipei has the tallest building in theworld

Separable prefixes
Can be added to the base form of certain words to given them a different meaning.
