Avril Lavigne

Avril Ramona Lavigne Whibley was born on September 27, 1984, in Belleville, Ontario, Canada but grew up in a village near Napanee also located in the east of the province of Ontario,Canada, daughter of John Lavigne, of French origin, and Judy Lavigne, French-Canadian origin, both Catholics. Has a younger sister, Michelle and an older brother, Matt. From an early showed aptitudefor being a singer, when she started singing at the piano with his mother a gospel song and 5 years began singing gospel in the church choir.
Avril was first discovered by manager Cliff Fabri, whilesinging a very young country music Avril in a bookstore in Kingston, Ontario. Sometime later folk singer Steve Medd invited her to sing with the song Touch The Sky, and two issues called Temple ofLife and Two Rivers in 2000.
When Avril was 16, and without finishing high school, he traveled with his brother to New York, USA to try his luck. On that trip was discovered by Antonio "LA" Reid(producer Punk) while serving drinks at a place called Chapters. He made a recording contract with Arista Records, with the help of renowned composer and Clif Magness at the helm The Matrix began recordingLet Go. With still 16 years his first album was released in the U.S. on June 4, 2002. Which were extracted as the meteoric simple single Complicated, Sk8er Boi, I'm With You and Losing Grip. His firstalbum has sold to date more than 18 million copies, as well as being nominated for eight Grammy Awards.
Their second studio album was called Under My Skin, was released in the U.S. on May 25, 2004,and included the production of many composers, performers and producers from those found Chantal Kreviazuk, Ben Moody (ex- guitarist of Evanescence), Butch Walker and Evan Taubenfeld, co-writing withmany other tracks on the album.
