She was born on 8 february 1973 in Cali, Valle del Cauca. She lived with her parents in her childhood. She studied elementary school at the Bolivar institute in Colombia, after shestudied industrial engineering at the University of the Andes.
in Colombia she was announcer, a soap opera actress and a presenter of musical magazine "siempre musica" and then entered the world ofmusic as a singer becoming queen "tropipop".
She started a musical project with the Colombian producer José Gaviria, creating tropipop's record, her fist DVD was called "lagrimas calidas".
Shereceived her first Latin Grammy nomination in 2007 for his first song and she was nominated in shock awards in four categories: Female Soloist, radio song, best album and best national artist.
