In 1979, he founded the Juran Institute, where we hold training seminars and published papers on the subject.

In 1984 the Japanese emperor rewardshim with the order Hiri Hito sacred treasure. Finally, after a triumphant lecture series in 1993 and 1994, the tour "The Last World", he suspended all recent publication, to pursue writing projects and spend time with their family obligations.

Juran believes that quality is two different concepts, but related:

- One way quality is geared to income, and consists of those product featuresthat meet consumer needs and, as a result of that produce income. In this sense, better quality usually costs more.

- A second way would be aimed at quality and cost would be in the absence of faults and short comings. In this sense, better quality usually costs less.
