In the workplace, when production was introduced on a large scalecar by Ford, is greatly improved conditions for the time; were paid good wages and reduced work accidents due to specialization in the work, which led to worker to concentrate in specific locations ofthe factory, instead of spinning wandering everywhere. The production model with good wages and high efficiency was renamed "Fordism"


1769 The first steam-powered vehicle was created byNicholas-Joseph Cugnot 9. It was a real tricycle with wooden wheels, iron wheels and weighed 4.5 tons.
1801 appear the first steam taxis.

1860 with theBelgian Etienne Lenoir, who patented the first internal combustion engine. But it was still the beginning. They spent a couple of years until the German Gottlieb Daimler built the first automobile poweredby an internal combustion engine in 1866. Then start a new industry and a new market.

Nicolas-Joseph Cugnot (26 February 1725 - 2 October 1804) was a French inventor whom the French governmentattributed the invention of the first self-propelled vehicle or car. This claim is disputed by several sources that suggest instead that Ferdinand Verbiest, a member of the Jesuit missions in China wasthe first to build a steam car around 1672.

Cugnot was born in Void, Meuse, Lorraine. He received training as a military engineer. Models tested for vehicles powered by steam engines for the FrenchArmy, intended to drag heavy guns, a task that began in 1765.
