Carta Para Host Family Canadiense

Dear Host Family:

First of all, I’d like to say I’m very excited about getting to know you and staying with you during the two weeks I’ll be in Vancouver. Having said this, I’d like to tell yousome things about myself, such as hobbies, things I like, favorite movies, books, etc.

I consider myself a good and loyal friend. All though I have a good temper and I am in a good mood most of thetime, there might be days in which I am not in a very good mood, but that doesn’t happen very often, so you can be sure I’ll always be happy and smiling.

As for my hobbies, I like reading a goodbook, watching a movie, going for walks, listening to music, and talking to my friends. But as there are simple things like those, I also like playing the violin, which I would definitely not consider“simple”.

I like most genres of music, but there are also kinds of music I just can’t stand, such as Justin Bieber and One Direction. I don’t have a favorite artist/band, but if I had to choose theone I like most, I guess I’d say Avril Lavigne or Maroon 5. I also enjoy some classical music.

If the subject were a book, I’d say my favorite books are the Harry Potter ones, but I love The HungerGames saga, Poe’s tales, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and a new-ish saga called Divergent. I guess I’d say one of the few books I definitely don’t like is the Twilight Saga, mainly because theonly message Twilight sends is how important it is to have a boyfriend. It is said that if you remove the love triangle of The Hunger Games, you’d have a story about a televised fight to death between24 children and how they struggle to survive. Remove the love triangle from Twilight and you’ll have a story about a girl that moves to a town where it rains a lot. So, to sum it up and not to makethis paragraph any longer, I’m a hardcore Potterhead, Tribute/Panemaniac, Jacksonhead, member of the House of Usher, Initiate, and anti-Twihard.
