The trip to Copan was a very pleasant experience, because I could had the opportunity to
Visit a wonderful place where my school fellows and I had a lot of fun and at the sametime we learned more about Mayan culture .The trip was divided in three stops, Copan Ruins then the museums, and at last we went to “The hacienda el Jaral” for lunch, First in Copan Ruins wesaw how huge and amazing the Mayan’s buildings were, and the guide was explaining us interesting things. for example she explained that Mayans believed that the world was a turtle. Wewere really fascinated, there we could see macaws, and different types of animals, and the views were amazing, then we went out, and we went to two museums the first one which was on theRuins and the other in town, in the first one the entrance was really interesting it had the shape of a jaguar or as Mayan called it “felis onca” mouth with fangs at the top. There we sawpieces with historical value like statues, and monuments. The second museum was in town we could play with many things. for example there was this picture of a Mayan and we could dress it aswe wanted, we really enjoy it we could see a video which represented how Mayans played football with a very heavy ball that we could lift and at the entrance there were some statues were wecould put our heads on it and take pictures, then we went to the “Hacienda el Jaral” for lunch, the food was delicious and we really had a good time in at the water park were we couldenjoy a very natural environment, unfortunately it was time to come , but we were really satisfied.
