This manualexplains key operations based on QWERTY keyboard models for US-English.
When the key combinations differ in using Numeric keyboard model, see the footnote.
The key combinations may differ when using QWERTY keyboards other than US-English models. In such
cases, look for the functions or icons (printed in blue) on your keyboard that correspond to the key functions in
parenthesis in this manual, andpress the key that is above or below these functions.
Click :
Touch the screen with the stylus.
Right-click : Touch and hold with the stylus, or touch and select the right button of “touch pointer”.
(Start) - [All Programs] :
Click
(Start), and then click [All Programs].

Regarding Windows 7
This manual explains using the Windows 7 default setting.

Windows Aero
Do not turn Windows Aero on with thiscomputer.

Windows Update
You can update to the latest patches and service packs for Windows with the following menus.
Click
(Start) - [All Programs] - [Windows Update]
Do not apply “Driver Updates” even if a message to update a driver appears. If a driver update is required, contact your
technical support office.

Windows Live mail
As in Windows mail for Windows Vista or OutlookExpress 6 for Windows XP, Windows 7 contains mail software called
Windows Live mail.

Sound and Video
Sound (e.g. MP3, WMA) and video (e.g. MPG, WMV) recorded in SD Memory Cards may be interrupted during playback.
If this happens, copy them to the flash memory drive and play back.
Depending on the processing status on Windows, sound may be interrupted at Windows startup. You can mute the sound
atstartup.
A Right-click the desktop and click [Personalize] - [Sounds].
B Remove the check mark from [Play Windows Startup sound], and click [OK].

If high-frequency sound occurs while using the computer
A standard user needs to enter an administrator password and click [OK].
• Set [USB selective suspend setting] to [Enabled].

(Start)- [Control Panel] - [System and Security] -[Power Options].
Click [Change plan settings] of the current power plan.
In [Change settings for the plan], click [Change advanced power settings].
In [Advanced settings], double-click [USB settings].
Double-click the displayed [USB selective suspend setting].
Change settings of [On battery] and [Plugged in] to [Enabled].
Click [OK] and exit the [Advanced settings] screen.

Keyboard operationsfor this computer
You can easily operate this computer with one hand since Sticky Key function and Fn key lock function have been enabled at
the time of purchase. ( page 7)
To display the start menu with keyboard operations, press
(Windows) 3 times when Sticky Key function is enabled.
The key operations illustrated in this manual explain when Sticky Key function is disabled.

Key Combinations

4NOTE
Do not repeatedly press the keys in quick succession.
Do not use the key combinations together with touchscreen or other key operations.
Do not use the key combinations before you log on to Windows. Wait until the flash memory drive indicator
turns
off. On the Setup Utility screen, you can use the key combinations of “LCD brightness” and “Display switching”.
The key combinations may not workwith some applications.
The pop-up icon appears after logging on to Windows. It may not appear in some application conditions.
