Uganda is a country in which child abuse is a very big problem. It consists mainly of physical, emotional, or sexual mistreatment of children. Thesituation in Uganda is getting worse everyday, threatening the life of those trying to survive the violence and abuse. The LRA, led by Joseph Kony, who inthe lord’s name kills, abducts, tortures, and uses children as soldiers and sex slaves. Most children in Uganda live in fear, afraid they won’t wake up intheir homes in the morning, scared of the dark...

Joseph Kony isn’t the only person in Uganda who is mistreating children, their own parents, andneighbors abuse them as well. Sexual abuse is the most common form of abuse in children in Uganda, they are getting infected of HIV and AIDS constantly.Children are also being sold to “witch-doctors” as a ritual ceremony, in which they are tortured, mutilated, and eventually killed or traded for sex orlabour. Some parents sell their children with the foolish belief that it will guarantee wealth and prosperity.

Child abuse is a very important matterwhich needs to be dealt with. This problem does not end in Uganda. Children around the world are being abused, mistreated, and suffer enormously theviolence they must endure. They are forced to grow up much sooner than they should, denying them a healthy childhood. Consequently, children who suffer abuseare scarred forever, and this must be stopped. Children should enjoy their childhood, have fun, and especially should not be scared of sleeping at night.
