Coffee is enjoyed by people all over the world and it is grown in many countries all over the world too. Coffee is important to the economies of these countries. Only oil brings more money to theeconomies of these countries.

Look at the map. Not every country can grow coffee. Coffee needs sun, but it also needs a lot of rain. Also coffee doesn't grow well in very hot or very cold weather. Sowhere is coffee grown?
BRAZIL
More than 30 % of the world's coffee (40 million bags) is produced in Brazil.
The states of panama, Espiritu Santo, Sao Paulo, minas, Gerais. And Bahia is famous fortheir coffee.
Coffee was not always grown Brazil.
It was brought to the country by Francisco de mellow pallet in 1727 from cayenne, French Guyana. Coffee grew very well in Brazil, and by 1800, coffeewas popular with many Brazilians.
Soon, Brazilian coffee was sold to countries all over the world.
COLOMBIA
Coffee is also grown in Colombia.
Coffee was brought to Colombia in the early 1800s.There are two main are of coffee production in Colombia: Medellin, Armenia, and Manizales in the center and Bogota and Bucaramanga in the mountains in the east of the country.
Colombia is the secondlargest producer of coffee the South America. Over 10 million bags are produced every year in Colombia .Colombia used to be the second largest producer in the world, but Vietnam now produces morecoffee.
VIETNAM
Coffee was brought to Vietnam in the mid-1800s by French. Vietnam did not produce a lot of coffee or many years. However, in the 1990s, things changed. Vietnam now produces about 18million beds of coffee every year.
