Conectores en Ingles
1. Conectores que indican la secuenciación de las ideas o de los argumentos:
Registro neutro:
first, then, next, at the same time, finally, in the end.
First, watchingTV every day is bad for your eyes. Second, watching TV is really a waste of time.
Registro formal:
firstly, secondly, thirdly, simultaneously (simultáneamente), subsequently (Posteriormente), lastly(por ultimo).
Subsequently, the disease spread to the rest of the village (Posteriormente, la enfermedad se extendió al resto del pueblo).
2. Conectores para añadir información o argumentos a unaafirmación anterior:
Registro neutro:
and, also / too, besides (además), what is more (lo que es más), as well (también).
I don’t have a mobile phone. What is more, I totally dislike moderntechnology.
Registro formal:
moreover (además), in addition, furthermore (es más, además).
He has been appointed (nombrado, designado) Prime Minister. Furthermore, this popularity with the voters is atits highest (el más alto, el máximo, el superior).
3. Conectores para expresar un contraste con una afirmación anterior:
Registro neutro:
although, though (aunque), even though (aunque, apesarde que), however, despite (apesar de, pese a), inspite of (a pesar de), but

Registro formal:
on the one hand / on the other hand (por un lado / porotro lado, por el otro lado), by contrast (por el contrario, en cambio, por otro lado), nevertheless (sin embargo), nonetheless (no obstante, sin embargo), on the contrary (al contrario, por elcontrario, opuestamente), yet (pero, sin embargo)
On the one hand, children eat lots of sweets. On the other hand, they do not do enough exercise to burn (quemar) those extra calories.
