Abstract.
SituationalAwareness (SA) could be defined as a mental representation and
understanding of objects, events, people, environmental conditions any other
factors of a specific situation that may affect the development of human tasks. In
other words, in the SA the person "knows what's going, to figure out what to do”.
The concept that is going to be quantified during the development of this project incourse, SA, was mostly ignored by researchers until the 80s, because of the
increasing use of technology for operating the flight system, so the pilot in the
aircraft had to be careful of not just a thing but the “big picture they call”, that has
all the information about the plane and about the external environment. So that,
researchers start to look into what SA is and what are the effects on thepilots, how
can it will be constructed and measured, it means quantified.
The main idea with this document is to develop a research about the topic in order
to get a lot of information that will be useful for the development of the project.
Things like definitions, importance, experimentation techniques, opportunities in
Colombia, are going to be the topics this document is going to be focuson.
