“Death by scrabble”, by Charlie Fish

The “Death by scrabble”, by Charlie Fish ,tells us that it is bad when you want someone to die.Why does the narrator want to kill his wife? In the text, te narrator tell us that the man in the story hates his wife, in the story says “I hateher, if she was not around, I’d be doing something interesting right now”, we can see the way that he hates her, he always blames her. In thispart of text, “If they spell out KILL, or STAB, or her name, or anything, I'll do it right now. I'll finish her off.”, it says that he wantsto kill her because he can be doing other stuff other things like going outside, meet people, do some sport, without her by my side.

Is thenarrator a sympathetic character? I think that the narrator is not a sympathetic character because it is very rare that in a relationshipsomeone wants to kill his wife, also he is a weird man because he says “I don't think I've spoken to anyone except my wife since Thursday morning. OnThursday morning I spoke to the milkman.”.

The message that the author is trying to tell us, is that you should not wish bad to anyone, younever wish bad like want someone to die, or something like that, the history is very rare because is not a common situation in therelationships, we need to be very friendly with another people, and never, never be mad with people and this is my conclusion.
