Depression is a disorder of mood, can occur in men, women, children, teenagers and even at the stage of aging, the condition may be temporary or permanent.
The causes of this diseasecan be genetic or psychosocial factors, it is that when somebody is suffering it can be known or not the cause of their origin, as it has an explanation based on the environment or context that isthe person who has . Some of the non-genetic causes may be stress, having passed bya disappointment in love, having witnessed an accident, murder or tragedy, a near-death experience, bad news or the death of a loved one, and the consumption of certain substances such as alcohol,drugs, medications or other toxic substances.
The economic problems or stressful things or avoidance conditioning either educational or not, also have a role in this disorder. There are also othercauses such as nutritional deficiencies in certain trace elements or vitamins either lack or excess of minerals like copper, zinc, lithium, cobalt, magnesium, iron and vitamins C, B1, B6, B12, niacin andfolic acid .
There are physical illnesses such as strokes - vascular, heart attack, cancer, Parkinson's disease and hormonal disorders, which also predispose a depressive illness.
In women may arisedue to changes in the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, abortion, postpartum, pre menopause, menopause and family crisis.
