The UK is a unitary state nation Consist of four different countries: Scotland, Wales, Englandand Northern Ireland.

The U.S.A is a federal republic composed of fiftystates
The U.S.A flag consists of thirteen horizontal bars, seven red and six white, and a blue rectangle with fifty white five-pointed stars. The bars represent the original thirteen colonies thatbecame independent from the United Kingdom and the stars to the states forming the Union

The most common and basic differences between these two variations of theEnglish language are:
--In American English the past participle of the verb "get" is "gotten", in British English it is "Got"
For example:

--There are some words that are spelled differently in British and American English.
For example,some words ending with "-or" in American English end with "-our" in British English:
