Difficulties on Learning

Researchershave found that there are more than 300 languages being spoken all around the world. Thus it is very important to speak at least more than one language. Many people agree that the most importantlanguage is English, although it is not the most widely spoken, it is considered a very useful tool for international communication. Nevertheless, learning a foreign language may present some trouble.Studying a language involves being capable of learning new words, producing different sounds and preparing our brain to think in a different way. English is included as a subject in the study program ofalmost every school, so a big number of people believe that learning English is simple. However, learning English is not so easy as believed.

One of the biggest problems a foreign learner has toface is pronunciation. The English phonological system is very different from the Spanish one; there are a lot of sounds which we do not have in our mother tongue. Therefore, students have to make a bigeffort to produce sounds properly. Fortunately, there are some ways to cope with this problem. Listening to English music is not only entertaining but also an excellent technique for learningpronunciation and vocabulary.
