THE PICTURE OF DORIAN GRAY

This novel describes the risks of vanity that a person can have, and all that can occur aroun that and a secret that has to be kept.
This happens when a painter (BasilHoward) and a handsome young man (Dorian) meet, and the painter decides to make a picture. Dorian believes that beauty is the one and only worthwhile aspect of life. This portrait was so unbelievable,that Dorian Gray decided to make witchcraft asking to keep his beauty forever and the one that would get older was the portrait.
As time goes by, Dorian falls in love of a young woman, Sybil. Hethinks she is really beautiful, but when he tells Basil and Lord Henry about this, they tell him they're not meant for each other. Dorian leaves Sybil, and she decides to kill herself drinking acid.Dorian realizes that the man in the picture is getting older, while he is still young and handsome.
Basil vists Dorian to tell him about Sybil's death. Dorian reacts indifferent and frivolous.
Dorianasks his servants to put away the picture in the attic to hide all the chanes that it had. Many years later, Dorian was still the same, but his soul wasn't. It all reflected in the picture.
Later,Dorian talks to Basil and reveals him the secret. Basil wondered why everybody talked about Dorian in a bad way. Dorian shows him the portrait and the transformation of it along time.
Dorian killsBasil blaming him for his fate and tells Alan Campbell to destroy the body. Dorian blackmails Alan because he didn't wanted to help him with Basil's body.

Dorian goes to an opium den. James Vane,Sybil's brother, asks him about Sybil's suicide, and Dorian told him that he is too young to have met Sybil 18 years after that day. James believes him, and Dorian gets away.
