People are abusing of them ignoring the risks and consequences. It has become a serious social problem that affects almost every country, community and family.
Drugs are substancesthat change the way our body works. They may be helpful for a while but at last they are always harmful. Its effects will vary depending on the kind of drug and in the personal characteristics of theconsumer. Drugs can make you feel good at first, but they can do a lot of harm to the body and brain. The sad thing is that its consequences are much worse than its benefits.Some drugs impair a person´s ability to make healthy choices and decisions, making them more likely to get involved in dangeroussituations, such as driving at high speed or doing risky actions. Thousands of persons die annually because of drug overdose. Much of the HIV positives in are drug consumers injecting drugs withinfected needles.
Besides the damage to the body, it also affects the consumer in other ways: Addicted parents can seldom offer a stable family life to their children. Usually they lose their job asthey often manifest low productivity and deterioration of the quality of their work. Mental health also getsdisturbed. The emergence of psychological disorder, negative mood states and irritability, loss of self-esteem, decreased intellectual capacity and destruction of neurons.
Knowing all this, it is difficultto understand why people get into drugs; they are just provoking a big damage to their bodies, physically and psychologically. Its not good to take drugs, its not worth it and it ruins your life....
