AIESEC Colombia 2013 Elections

While the members of AIESEC in Colombia’s EBs come from diverse backgrounds and
environments, several general characteristics, skills and knowledge are expected of everyone.
Intellectual and psychological
Many aspects of one’s personality can effect being part of a leadership team in AIESEC inColombia. Some of them are obvious: constant learning, systematic thinking, creativity,
adaptability to change, sense of responsibility, capacity of analysis, patience, list ening,
and supportiveness but also you have to keep in mind that the most important thing is to
understand why as a leader of this amazing organization in AIESEC in Colombia you are
doing what you are doing. Great leadersinspire action and lead consciously.

Society knowledge
A broad knowledge of world and organizational systems, current trends and issues facing
society and cultural issues are important to lead a Local Committee. Practical
understanding of new management theories (e.g. learning organization, self-organizing
systems) is also important in managing the diverse environments in which AIESECoperates. In addition, each position requires skills and knowledge in the areas of financial
management and budgeting, project management, human resources management, and
good understanding of English.

AIESEC understanding
A broad understanding of the association is required in order to execute an LCEB position
properly. An understanding of our vision, values, identity, current direction, countrydevelopment, and systems is certainly something we will look for in all candidates.

Other
Overall, there is no perfect candidate profile; however, good candidates will possess
strong competencies in the areas of social behavior, motivation, task orientation, and
people management skills. The key component is balance - within the individuals and
within the team of individuals!
And don’tforget, this year we are UNITED IN PURPOSE AND GROWING THROUGH ACTIONS!

AIESEC Colombia 2013 Elections

SUGGESTED 2013 LOCAL EXECUTIVE BOARDS STRUCTURES:
The first message you need to take into account is that you are applying to be part of the
Local Executive Board of your LC, and not just for a Vice-presidency. This implicates that
although you apply for a specific position, you may beselected to perform another
position. The final decision about this depends on the LCP elected.
The basic structure for an LC in AIESEC in Colombia is:

IM&C

LLC

According to the LCD Model, each development phase may have variations in the
structure. Follow these instructions:
For LCs in Creativity Phase:
The positions availableare iGCDP, iGIP, oGCDP, oGIP TM and FLM.
Other positions should be open only if there is enough pipeline and/or a concrete need.
The EB Selection process for AIESEC Cauca and AIESEC Central is going to be carried out
as the Special Booklet sent to those respective LCPs stated.
For LCs in Direction Phase:
All positions from a basic LC structure are available.
For LCs in Delegation Phase:All positions from a basic LC structure are available. New positions may be added
according to expansion needs (e.g. VP iGCDP expansion).
In order to work as a united national entity, any specific case about opening positions
different from the suggested ones in each phase, must be presented to the LCD Corner
and hand-in-hand with the MC Coach of the LC, the positions will be approved or not.AIESEC Colombia 2013 Elections

1. Your Profile: Please fill your personal data in the profile template in the application (1 page)
2. General Questionnaire: These must be answered by all candidates. The General
