“Age is nothing but a number”, right? But is that a fact? Have you noticed when you try giving advice toan older superior, they pull out the fast card by saying you’re to young to understand. How many of us has that happen? I for one am tired of people looking down on young teenagers, because of ourage. I am thirteen and I’m ready to make a change.

It’s 6am, I look out my bedroom window, and its dark outside. My father and I have to take my mom to the hospital because she needs surgery.I start getting dressed I wore my green, long sleeve sweater, dark blue jeans and black flip flops. As I stared out the car window I could not help but wonder, what am I going to do at the hospitalfor three hours? The sun started to rise; it was so beautiful. The colors fit in so well as the fog rose up.
I see the hospital across the street. Within seconds we were already entering thefront doors of the gray, medium sized hospital. My mother went with the doctor, while my father and I went to go have breakfast in the small unsanitary cafeteria. We watched a couple of movies until; Ihad to go to the bathroom.

As I walked down the gray slightly depressing hallway I found the bathroom, but when I look a few steps a head, I saw a middle aged lady crying on the floor. I triedto ignore her but as I passed her I started to feel lonely, depressed, and ugly. I thought to myself, “Is this real am I really starting to feel how she feels?” , Surprisingly I did not even look ather I sat down next to her, I looked forward and asked with a very calm voice ,“What’s wrong?” She jumped surprised and clearly bothered by the fact that a thirteen year old was sitting next to her onthe floor while she cried.

It was starting to get awkward until she finally looked at me with her eyelids looking heavy and filled with tears she said, “You’re too young to understand any...
