Hi, my name is Francisco Morfin and I’m going to talk about the educational system in Mexico.
Education in Mexico has been and is to this day the one who drives the moderndevelopment and gives life to the classification of the different social classes in all areas. It is also the engine that pushes and moves the country towards the social, cultural, economic and productive.Even today education is a product of state policies that are responsible for producing the kind of student that the state needs, facing challenges, and paradigms.
Certainly in any modern society,education has been considered by the various social sectors (teachers, scholars, students, education authorities and organizations) as the beginning of the development in Mexico.
The Constitution ofthe United Mexican States in Article 3 provides states that education provided by the state tend to develop harmoniously all human faculties and encourages the love for the country, awareness ofinternational solidarity, independence and justice.
For Mexico to become a first world country, it needs to do more than simply increase the number of schools and educational institutions. Profoundchanges are needed in the way education is conceived, its content, methods and purposes.
The educational policies, more than others, should be based in an explicit and systematic development founded oncertain findings of the conceptions of reality and values.
As I stated before, it is not enough to increase the number of schools and educational institutions. When we observe our existing schools thatare in precarious conditions that do not have the facilities to generate conditions for students to learn and fully develop their intellect and skills.
We need profound changes in the way education...
