“A DYSFUNCTIONAL FAMILY”
Script of case scenario.
First scene
Laura: Are you doped again?
Dennis: Leave me alone! This is my life and is my problem.
Jonathan: You’re fighting again, you put me down, I hate to see my parents shouting. Why do you do it?
Darwin: Hey Jonathan what happens to you?
Jonathan: My parents are fighting again.
Darwin: Don’t worry; I have something thatwill help you forget your problems.
Jonathan: Really? What’s that?
Darwin: This is your solution.
Jonathan: I’ve never done that.
Darwin: There is a first time for everything.
Jonathan: And if my parents realize about it?
Darwin: I don’t believe they care about it because for example, your father is an addict and your mother does not stay at home.
Jonathan: Ok I’ll do, it if thathelps me forget my problems, it’s okay.
Darwin: Is there someone in your house?
Jonathan: Only my sister, but she is very shy and correct.
Darwin: Ok! Let’s go.

Second Scene
Yami: What are you doing? Who’s he?
Jonathan: He is my friend Darwin, and it is not your business.
Darwin: Is she your sister? She is very cute! How old is she?
Jonathan: Yes, she is my sister. And she is sixteenyears old. Do you like her?
Darwin: Yes, I like her so much. Does she have a boyfriend?
Jonathan: No, she doesn’t have a boyfriend; she is very shy and responsible.
Yami: I’ll tell my mom. What you are doing?

Third scene
Yami and Laura. (Talking)
Yami: Mom, I have something to tell you!
Laura: What going on?
Yami: It has to do with my brother. He has done something very bad and you needto know about it.
Laura: Tell me, what happened?
Yami: (Crying) my brother came back home with a friend.
Laura: And what's wrong?
Yami: They were drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes.
Laura: Are you serious? Why didn’t you tell me? What did your dad say?
Yami: He doesn’t know. He is worst! He is an addict!
Laura: I’ll talk with your brother.

Fourth Scene.
Laura and Jonathan(Talking)
Laura: Jonathan, I need to talk with you!
Jonathan: What do you want mom?
Laura: Your sister told me something.
Jonathan: She is a gossip and liar.
Laura: Can you tell me what you did? Be honest with me!
Jonathan: I didn’t do anything mom.
Laura: She told me that she saw you drinking with your friend at home.
Jonathan: It is a lie, mom.
Laura: You know, I don’t believe you!
Jonathan:Do you prefer to believe her?
Laura: I don't prefer her, but I believe her because she is honest with me and you aren’t.
Jonathan: For me no problem you can believe whatever you want, you don’t have to tell me anything because you are never at home.
Laura: (Crying)

Fifth scene
Darwin Knocks the door, and Yami opens it.
Yami: What do you want?
Darwin: Is Jonathan at home?
Yami: No, he isnot here.
Darwin: Really! Are you sure?
Yami: Do you want something?
Darwin: No, I don’t want anything, but can I come in?
Yami: What for?
Darwin: I don’t know. Maybe to talk to you?

Darwin: I want to know about you.
Yami: I don’t know if it is correct.
