Dear Family,

My name is Berta and I am 21 years old.My home town is Tudela, which is near Pamplona, in Navarra (probably you know Pamplona, Navarra´s capital, that is famous because of SanFermines ´ festivals).

I was an au pair for 1 year in New York when I was 19.I took care of two children named Paloma who was 4 years old and Gabriel who was 8 years old.
It was an experience that mademe stronger and more mature.I learnt that communication with the family is the most important part to make things work.
My host family was a very busy african american family.My host father was anorthopedic surgeon and my host mother was a lawyer.
My host parents spoke spanish because they also have spanish roots.

Due to they worked all the day, I had another Nanny helping me with thechildren.
In a normal day I used to wake Paloma up at 8 o´clock in the morning and get her dressed. Later we used to have breakfast and I drive her to school.I used to go to english classes and then pickher up from school at 1.At 3 Gabriel came back home and me and Susy(the other nanny) cooked the dinner .Then they took a bath and I put them in bed, I tell them a story and they sleep like a log!
Ialso did the children´s laundry, cleaned up their rooms and drove them to taekwondo, tennis etc…

I live in a penthouse in the center of the town, with my mother Laura and my two sisters: Lucia, whois 16 years old and my wonderfull little sister Blanca, who is 10 year old.
My mother was always a housewife, but when she started working I looked after my sister Blanca.
Likewise, I would like totalk about Lucia and Blanca.
Lucia is at an awkward age, an I am all the time advising her to be herself and not to be irresponsible. We are very close.
Blanca is my treasure! The truth is that sheis terrifying naughty and this is the thing that I really love of her.
We have always lived with pets, my dog Epi, is a fox terrier so I wouldn´t have any problem to live with a family with animals....
