This work presents the elaboration and documentation of the cleaning program and
disinfection of the laboratories of the Department of Microbiology of the Pontificia
Universidad Javeriana, this which waselaborated through of investigation of
descriptive type. The information was collected through of bibliographical revision of
specificationses and administrative like legals.

The used instrument to obtain the data was a survey that it intended to evaluate the
situation of the laboratories of the Department, with respect to the practices of
cleaning and disinfection applied at the present timeand to establish the regularity
and the disinfection level that requires really each one of them. All the components of
the areas were recognized like: doors, windows, floors, inns, and walls. With the
intention of establishing the methods of cleaning and disinfection that must be
applied in the laboratories of teaching, investigation and service, for this design the
program of cleaning anddisinfection for the laboratories of the Department of
Microbiology of the Faculty of Sciences of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.

One concludes that is definitive to present the program as much the people in charge
of the procedures of cleaning and disinfection like a the laboratory coordinators, with
the purpose of giving beginning good ones you practice of cleaning and disinfectionthat will result in the security of the personnel and the quality of the services.
