EMERSON RESEARCH

Through the Emerson Charitable Trust, Emerson provides financial assistance and other support to local organizations in the United States that improve and enrich lives, promotevolunteerism, sponsor education, and provide services to those in need.  Emerson units throughout the rest of the world undertake similar responsibilities consistent with practices in the countries inwhich they operate.  They encourage employees to be involved, and many devote their time and energy to causes and organizations in their community.

While Emerson supports immediate needs, such ashurricane, tsunami, and earthquake relief efforts, our principal global philanthropic efforts are focused in six primary areas:
Education: The learning programs they support provide the foundation tocreate leaders, business managers and skilled individuals who can thrive in a changing world.
Health and Human Services: Emerson supports a range of international health organizations, medicalresearch initiatives, hospitals, care centers, and hospices. The contributions help sustain the well-being of people of all ages, and support special initiatives including the treatment of medical disorders,domestic abuse shelters, and employment and job training.
Arts and Culture: Emerson helps elevate living standards and quality of life through contributions to dance, music, and theater groups aswell as educational television, public radio, and numerous libraries, museums, zoos, and science centers.
Civic: To provide stability, safety and protection within our communities, we providesupplemental funding support for public service programs such as local police, fire, and rescue squads; housing assistance organizations; local conservation groups; and parks.
