TITLE: Clinical Services Staff Development Coordinator

SUMMARY PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION:

The Clinical Services Staff Development Coordinator is a healtheducation professional that has continuous responsibility for the planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of staff growth and development, which may include students of different health fields.The coordinator also coordinates and informs educational institutions of the Hospital’s standards and requirements necessary to render services to the Hospital.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Plans,develops, delivers and evaluates staff growth and development.


PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

1. Develops a Clinical Services orientation program for all new employees and students.

2.Individualizes the orientation program according to new employee needs.

3. Determines strengths and weaknesses of new employees.

4. Ascertains that all departments have a specific up to date orientation program for their area of specialty according to positions and/or levels of functioning.

5. Provides sothat each new employee meets minimal standards of knowledge and skills before commencing work.

6. Determines employee’s need for education based on results of quality improvement activities andother means used in the hospital.

7. Plan Clinical Services educations activities that respond to QI results, and other needs.

8. Coordinates with Directors and requirements as specified by locallaws and hospital accrediting agencies.
