Nothing provides more personal gratification than serving others. As I grow older and mature I realize how important is to help and be involved in your community.Throughout my work history in customer service, going the extra mile to make somebody feel better makes the day at work worth it.

I contribute all of my accomplishments to mymother and her hard work. After my parents divorced we moved out of our country and came to the states in 1999 with my mother and younger brother. Everything was fine until mymother was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. She underwent the usual treatments but her health deteriorated slowly. During the first months on 2008 we would spend moretime in the hospital than our home and I became very involved with the doctors and nurses. We had our shares of good and bad nurses, but I will always remember the good ones.Everyday, a nurse has the power to change lives in very positive ways, mainly by compassion and care. That’s when I decided to become one. I’m now enrolled full-time atKeiser University pursuing an associate degree in nursing. I cannot continue to be employed full-time because I need to dedicate completely to my studies and become the bestnurse. Once I get my associate degree I want to start working at a hospital (my first application will be at the Lee Moffit Cancer Center) and from there, obtain resources topursue a bachelor’s and then a master of science in nursing. With the help of your scholarship I will be able to accomplish my dream and cover some of the financialassistance given to me; in return, I can promise you will be contributing to the development of a very dedicated, compassionate, hard working, and successful nurse.
