“Nothing is as good as it seems beforehand”. – George Elliot. Something that always comes to my mind is the memory of my big dog. How could I forget him; his name was Amadeo. It was a gift from mygrandmother. It was the nicest dog in our neighborhood. I used to play with him every day. Twice a month we bathed him in a large and a deep tub. During the week he used to wake me up with his long andsweet tongue. His hair grew up so long like big brown cloth.

My family and I liked to walk around the country side on weekends. Amadeo and I used to run five kilometer in those familiardays, we finished the weekends very tired and very thirsty. My brown and handsome Golden was always ready to begin a new week. You could see him jumping and running all over the back yard, he always gotexcited when we arrived from our daily labors.

One Monday returning from school, I saw my front door open, Amadeo was gone, and that was a sad and painful day. With the time the pain gone away.I had never seen a dog like him in all my life. He was the cutest dog around. My dog used to be my best friend, he never left me alone. I will always keep him in my mind due to he was a special giftand a part of my childhood.


Starting from that sad Monday, my life changed. I had to understand he was gone. With time, I found a new dog; Mathew. At the beginning he got really close tome and my family. We used to do the same things as we did with Amadeo.



While he was growing up, his temper started to change. His eyes were not as sweet as he had. The new sweet dog I met wasgone. He started to bark, to bite to all my friends, my relatives, and the people around me. He was acting weird and rebellious. He was not the dog I was expecting to have.


Mathew was nolonger my friend. He turned the back on me, he became my enemy. I had to let him go. Since that time, I could not trust in anyone or anything as George Elliot said.
