HOW TO SOUND POSITIVE

An important aspect of good communication skills is the ability to communicate positively. Positive communication has the power to convert even negative feelings intopositive ones and helps you create a positive impression for yourself. Here are some tips that may come in handy when you are trying to communicate positively:

 
• Avoid negativewords: This is the simplest tip to talk about but hardest to achieve. But, it can be done with practice. Try to avoid words like cannot, will not, unable to etc in your conversation. Try to phraseyour sentences in a manner that avoids negative words but conveys the same meaning

 
• Look at the positive aspects: There may be things that come loaded with negative elements.However, there may be something positive about them, sometimes very minute. Try to find these positive aspects and include them in your conversation. Also, having a positive attitude and outlook isimportant. 

 
• Suggest alternates and solutions: For things that cannot be done due to some reasons, try to analyse the situation and suggest alternates and solutions. Suggestingalternates and solutions establishes you as a person who is willing go that extra mile to get things done.
  
• Sound helpful: Nothing can sound more positive than the voice that ensureshelp. However negative the situation, tell the recipient that you are ready to do whatever is required to get good results. Sounding helpful not only gives an assurance to the recipients, butalso makes them look up to you as a helpful person.


Well in conclusion all of us know how important a positive image is for career success. So I suggest that you start with positive writtencommunication and slowly adapt the positive aspects of communication and apply them to verbal conversations as well. You will be surprised to see how your positive attitude takes you places.
