First of all, in this story there are two ways in which it would be responsible to use theinformation; for IFA and ShopSense it would be responsible to manage this information in order to be able to receive the higher amount of profit possible for their company, and the other way is bylooking at what is best for the company without worrying about profits or market share.

Since IFA is an insurance company, the way for them to manage the information is to seek out what kind ofprotection each type of customer needs, so as said in the article if customers who buy bananas and cashew have a higher risk for Parkinson disease, then the IFA should offer health insurance that coversthose types of diseases to the customer. By doing this then they will be able to offer their customer what he needs, and create lasting customer relationships.

For ShopSense it would be responsibleto use information in order to give discounts to customers that match the product that the customer usually buys, therefore making him happy and building a profitable relationship with him. By knowingthe buying tendencies of customers they can manage the stock and put products on the shelves that will sell.

The other way to look at how to manage the data responsibly is by seeing it in a moralkind of way; this would be what would be the way to manage the information in order to bring the most amount of benefit to the customer as possible.
