Theory EXPERIMENT TO PROVE SWING TIME ON A PENDULUM


Introduction

This experiment is like a pendulum work and how we use it to draw a graph and mathematic model using these five materialsare: Stand with a clamp, stopwatch, Large paper clip, Ruler, metal washers, String, 50 cm . in lengh. the placement of metal grommets in the chain swaying from side to side and we let it turn 10 timesand record the time the pendulum takes to rotate.

Purpose: does the swing takes longer because of the mass

Hypothesis: This mass should not change because the pendulum will start in the sameposition and will lead to the same address only with a bit more weight but as balance remains unchanged and this motion is called harmonic model

Method Or Procedure

Procedure:
Tie one end of thewire to the clamp bracket and empatarel one for a clip that we used as a hook.
In place of the washers in the clip one must let down and if it is necessary to raise the clamp so that it swings freelyfalling and mesangial without knocking.
put the string or wire to form an angle of 45 peer should measure the height that would be the initial position, release the thread and count to ten to add youto another metal washer and the time recorded. After recording the times of each one divides the time by ten so that we can get the time of a swing.
this step is repeated four times and each time goincreasing washer until it's over five begins with the string or wire to the same height.

Precautions
To make the experience must be careful not to move or lie down at the table as it can affectthe timing. When it comes to taking the time someone else should be ready to start the timer but before someone should use a protactor to measure the angle should be 45 degrees and finally the knot Ilook this good so that it can drop and continue the procedure.
