There’s just something about zombie movies that gets my heart pumping with boyish delight. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve already seen the new Resident Evilmovie four times and can’t wait for the sequel. Until then, you can sate your desires with this desktop theme, which will hopefully keep the spirit of the movie alive on your computer.
InstallingWhen you decompress the download file, you should see three items: one desktop theme installer, one screensaver installer, and this document.
1. Install the screensaver. You can install thescreensaver by double-clicking on the Resident Evil Screen Saver icon and selecting Setup. That’s all there is to it.
2. Install the desktop theme. Similarly, you can install the actual desktopthemes by double-clicking on the Resident Evil Desktop icon and following the simple instructions. You will then be able to access the theme file through your theme manager program.
Theme ComponentsCursors: The cursors for this theme are modified versions of the standard Windows 3D cursors. I added some animation to a few of them, such as the Move and resize cursors. The Busy cursor wasmade by capturing still frames from the QuickTime movie preview and pasting them (one by one) into an animation.
Icons: The icons for the theme were created using Microangelo 5, which is aprogram I highly recommend for any type of icons or cursor editing.
Screensaver: The screensaver was built using Webshots Toolbox, a program that is sadly not available anymore. The graphicsare still frames from the QuickTime preview.
Sounds: The event sounds are stored in wav format. They were extracted from the Resident Evil soundtrack and the QuickTime preview.Wallpaper: The wallpaper is stored in JPG format. It was scanned from the cover of the video. The default resolution is 11152x864 pixels, but it should automatically expand or contract to fit your...
