blThe Caves of Death
Narrator-Storyteller, Polito, Pancho Villa, Moco, Ghost of soldier, Indian, Soldier, Citizen
Storyteller: In a small town of Chihuahua people speak in hushed tones of treasurehidden in dry hills. In the desert is the treasure of Pancho Villa during his time in Mexico City. And secret mule trains and soldiers headed north to the treasure. Pancho Villa would take three orfour soldiers with him and bury his treasure in the caves.
Pancho Villa: {Pulls his gun and sword out to execute his soldiers.}
Soldiers: Please let us live Pancho Villa
Storyteller: He thenexecutes his men and leaves their corpses to guard the treasure.
Pancho Villa: {He leaves and point to his head to signal he is the only one who knows where his treasure is.}
Storyteller: The Indians ofthe region say it’s bad luck.
Indian: Bad luck you find the caves. If you find them it’s wise to turn away. If you stay in there you’ll hear the voices of the dead. The deeper you go in the voicesbecome louder it. Beware!!!!
Storyteller: And the caves are like webs the more you struggle the more you get tangled up. Then they close in for the kill but before that they toy with you. Polito an oldprospector had always searched for gold or silver. Citizens always teased Polito.
Citizen: Crazy old man, where is your treasure is?
Storyteller: But Polito always ignored them. Polito left thevillage to the desert. One day it was chilly and Polito with his mule and dog Mocos.. Went to a cave and set up camp because it was windy. Polito then ate some of his rations and gave the scraps to Mocos.Then the wind blew harder so he went deeper into the cave. He set up his camp bed. Mocos then rested right next to him.
Mocos: {Barking!}
Storyteller: Polito knew what Mocos was barking at.Polito: Such an eerie sound.
Storyteller: Polito grabbed a burning piece of wood and went to investigate as Mocos followed. As he continued the noise became louder then all went quiet. Then the flame...
