Introduction:
I’m going to talk about fashion between the years 1960 to 2010, I chose this topic because I think that is interesting to know about the different trends in this years and how it doeschange. To understand better I´m going to define a key word.
Fashion is a general period for a popular style or practice, especially in clothing, footwear, accessories, makeup, body piercing orfurniture. Fashion refers to a distinctive and often habitual trend in the style with which a person dresses also refers to the newest creations of textile designers, although aspects of fashion can befeminine or masculine, some trends are androgynous.
1960´s to 1970´s
A decade where all the modern and independent women wanted to demonstrate these questions the hair being cut by a famous court thatMary Quant imposed (nicknamed the queen of the miniskirt) that was consisting of a hairstyle like a "mushroom" kind the Beatles were using.
The ideal one of the decade was to show neither thefeminine attributes nor the curves, but, on the contrary they looked like skinny women who were showing their infantile side.
The lips to make up were seen badly, only it was allowed a bit of lipstick tosimulate the dampness of the infantile mouths. For the eyes it was everything what it could collaborate to enlarge them as those of the girls. The maximum exponent of this childish look was Twiggy, oneof the most important models in this year.
Mary Quant:
She was born in London, on February 11, 1934. Her creation of the miniskirt represented an informal trend for young women and her modelspreads a large scale. Her simple and colorist style is identified by the symbol of a daisy, contrasted with the seriousness of the commanding fashion.
Mary Quant promoted an archetype of a very young andthin woman, the perfection for the model Twiggy.
1970´s to 1980´s
