Overpriced baby formula and the little shelf life it has.
Have you ever stopped to think about the different kind of baby formula that are inthe market today? Well, there’s from the basic brand-store formula to the highly known names as NESTLE, which is the Gerber formula, or Enfamil that is produced by Mead Johnson.All of them are very useful when you have to feed a baby, but one of the issues they have is the fact that the highly known names are usually overpriced because of the hardprocess and the complex compounds that are needed to produce them. These formulas have prices that go from $20 to $75 dollars depending on the complexity of it and the company thatproduces it. These over-pricing can be prevented by using biotechnological processes to produce the same compounds that are used in the NESTLE or Mead Johnson formulas but at a lowerprice, thus helping the companies to spend less money on their process, and parents to spend less on buying them for their babies. Another issue is the little shelf life thatthey have. When mixed they have a shelf life of about 3 days, but when a can is opened they only have 30 days max to finish the whole can, if they can keep it dry. If even a tinydrop of water enters the can, the shelf life will be reduced considerably; also it can compromise the health of the baby.
