There are four assignments to be submitted throughout the
trimester. These assignments can be found in the following
pages. The first 3 assignments each cover three weeks’ work,
whereas the fourth assignment covers two weeks’ work.
When submitting an assignment, please include an
Assignment Attachment form (which can be downloaded
from DSO), and makesure that your name is clearly shown.
Please place your assignment in the box located in the foyer
of building L ( the Science Faculty Office).
The assignments are due by 5 p.m. on the following days:

* Friday 22nd April is Good Friday, and theuniversity is closed.
The 4 assignments constitute 40% of the total assessment, and
are of equal value.The remaining 60% comes from a three hour
written examination which will be held during the normal
examination period (9th to 17th June). You will be able to find
the date and time of this examination at www.deakin.edu.au/
studentconnect, as soon as the examination timetable is
finalised. Theexamination will be “closed book”, which
means that you cannot bring any notes, study guides or
textbooks into the examination room. However, you will be
allowed to bring a calculator to the examination. All
calculators (including graphics calculators) are permitted.
To be eligible to obtain a pass in SIT192, you must achieve a
mark of at least 40% (24 out of 60) in the examination, and
50%overall.
