Fried Green Tomatoes

Fried Green Tomatoes present us a very interesting concept of how a past story can changeour present life, and give us the strength to survive, just by the fact that in the past were strong people (women in this case) that were so brave, facing many problems. The same can be done in ourpresent story as well. This movie has two stories that are very different but connected at the same time. One from many years ago, that is told by and old lady who is living in a sort of a care house.The other is about a house wife who is passing through a hard time on her marriage, because of her husband who has turned in a very cold and insensible man by the years. This house wife who isassisting to a pretty bored and hilarious “talks” for saving the “left over” of her marriage, stars to get in touch with this old lady, and every time they talk, she (the old lady) reminiscences about heryoung life . The housewife, inspired the adventures and courage of her new story-teller fellow, starts to do many changes in her life, and eventually, she realizes about the real value of her life.Besides she learns to give attention and care about this lovely grandma, until the point to see her as a very important part of her life almost like a family member.
The event that happens in the pastthat affect the future, in my personal opinion, is the presentiment that Evelyn (the housewife) has at the very beginning of the movie when she sees the old cafeteria that is almost ashes, the windand the sound of the imaginary train, it is like a calling of something that is going to happen. Then she got to know Idgie (the old lady) a real proof that in this life nothing is casualty.
Themain person who influences the story the most is, of course, Idgie Threadgoode named as herself like Ninny borned and raised in Alabama, the same person who tells the story of her life as a wild and...
