LOS QUESTIONS TAG SON PEQUEÑAS FRASES O PREGUNTAS (MINI – QUESTIONS) QUE SE COLOCAN AL FINAL DE UNA ORACIÓN AFIRMATIVA O NEGATIVA.
COMO POR EJEMPLO:
YOU HAVE BEEN TO PARIS.HAVEN´T YOU?
ESTO LO REALIZA EL EMISOR AL FINAL DE LA OPERACIÓN.
SE TERMINA LAS FRASES CONOTRA, DE SIGNO CONTRARIO LA CUAL PUEDE PEDIR INTENCIÓN DE OPINAR.
POR EJEMPLO:
YOU EAT MEAT, DON´TYOU?
ALEX AND SERGIO ARE FRIENDS, AREN´T THEY?
YOU CAN HELP ME, CAN´T YOU?
It's a beautiful day, isn't it?
Es un bonito día, ¿verdad?
Para formar las 'Question tags' siempre se utilizanverbos auxiliares: have, was, will etc. Ten cuidado con "do", "does" y "did", porque aunque no aparezcan en la frase afirmativa, hay que ponerlos en la "question tag" en negativo:
She works onSaturday, doesn't she?
Trabaja los sábados, ¿no?
William will be here son, won't he?
William estará aquí pronto, ¿no?
You haven't got a car, have you?
No tienes coche, ¿verdad?
There was alot of traffic, wasn't there?
Había mucho tráfico, ¿verdad?.
CONCLUSIÓN
LAS PREGUNTAS COLETILLAS SON FRASES EQUIVALENTES.
POR EJEMPLO:
¿VERDAD? , ¿NO ES VERDAD? , ¿NO? , ¿NO ES ÁSI? ,¿EN SERIO?
LAS QUESTIONS TAG SIEMPRE USAN LOS VERBOS AUXILIARES.
SI SON ORACIONES AFIRMATIVAS SERIA EL QUESTION TAG NEGATIVO.
Marie isn't angry, is she?
Marie no está enfadada, ¿verdad?
Porel contrario, las "question tags" van en negativo después de una frase en afirmativa:
You are very tired, aren't you?
Estás muy cansado, ¿no?
Existen algunas formas verbales que llevanaparejadas determinadas "question tags":
- Después de "let's", se coloca la "questión tag" "will you":
Let's go to the cinema, shall we?
Vamos al cine, ¿no?
- Después de 'don't', se coloca la"question tag" "will you":
Don't be late, will you?
No llegues tarde, ¿vale?
- Después de "I'm", la "question tag" en negativo es "aren't I":
