Introduction
THE world today istroubled. Men everywhere are seeking the solution to their problems-personal, social, national, and international. And underneath it all is a longing to know what is the real meaning of life, and the destiny to which it leads. Where did the world come from, and how did life begin? Who arranged the earth as we see it today, peopled by races of varying tastes and talents, of conflicting interestsand ambitions? Why are men continually at war? Is there no chance for peace? Why is human nature torn between ideals and actions, between hope for something better and perverse inclination to do something worse? Unaided by some power outside himself, man has never been able to find a satisfactory answer to these questions. But there is hope, for implanted in every heart is a desire to worship somehigher power, a desire after God. And God has the answers.
