Bass vs. Guitar

Which of the following descriptions you prefer: From four to six, thick, iron strings full of power that give birth to long, deep, and low pitched sounds, or from six to eight thin iron strings that give birth to medium and high sounds with many combinations of notes? Yeah, I am talking about two instruments, which are the guitar and the bass. They are similar yet verydifferent. Actually the guitar is more famous than the bass, because it is heard more time than bass during songs, has more combinations, is more melodic and the popular songs have more guitar solos than bass solos. Many people consider bass to be a worthless and boring instrument that has no value on songs, but it actually does, it helps to mark the tempo and gives a different sound to songs eventhough is not so audible unless you pay a lot of attention. I am both bassist and guitarist, and I have to say both are very interesting instruments, but I kinda prefer bass than guitar. Once I read that someone said: Guitar is hard to play but hard to masterize, but bass is easy to play but hard to masterize”. I agree with that phrase, I learned faster to play bass than guitar, but I still play betterthe guitar, bass is so hard because you need more strength flexibility on fingers. My thesis here is that bass is a really good instrument worth playing it, and that it can be even better instrument than guitar.
Guitar commonly has six strings, but it can increase number. To make sounds you must press the strings into the frets, each one for a determined note and plug it with a pick or a fingerand it will vibrate making the sound. There are different kinds of guitars: Acoustic, electro acoustic and electric. Acoustic guitars can vary from nylon strings and iron strings and they have a hollow wooden body which amplifies the vibrations of the strings to make the sounds. Electro acoustic guitars can also have nylon strings but is more common that they have iron ones. They are like acousticguitars with the difference that you can plug it into an amplifier and equalize the sound to make it sound as you like. Electric guitars just have iron strings, and have more frets than acoustic and electro acoustic. They are also plugged to amplifiers as electro acoustic, but electro acoustic still sound fine unplugged, while electric ones barely sound unplugged. To achieve the amplification ofsounds every electric guitar has pickups which are things below the strings on the guitar’s body with magnets (one for each string) and inside a copper wire which sends the vibration into electric signals to the amplifier. There are single, active, humbucker and pilled pickups. Another big difference of electric guitars is that you can give different effects like distortion, overdrive, etc, by theuse of different kind of pedals. Also it is easier to reach the lower frets. The standard tuning of guitars is EBGDAE going from first to sixth string. You can lower the tuning depending on how low you want to make the songs. You can play them either by arpeggios or chords. Chords are combinations of different notes in a same sound; you can achieve this by pressing more than one string ondifferent determined frets. Arpeggios are single notes played. You can make solos by using scales of notes playing them at different tempos. Guitar amplifiers are not so special, because the sounds are high so they are not hard to process and you can even play guitar on bass amplifiers. There are many techniques as bend, in which you as the name says, bend the string up or down depending it localizationon the fret board to give an effect that the sound bends; vibrato, in which you bend up and down in fast rates the string to make an effect of vibration in sound; natural harmonic, in which you put your finger over a fret (not pressing it), plugging the string and releasing the finger to give it a kind of bell sound; and many others.
Basses commonly have four strings but it can increase. Its...
