How I Became In A Teacher

Being teacher is to love your profession. It is not just go to the school and to talk in front of many boring boys. It is mean to be there to help to the person that needs you, and not just as ateacher. There are many aspects that consider what a teacher does, however William A. Ward (1989) mentions: “the undistinguished professor says; the good professor explains; the upper professor shows; theexcellent professor inspires”. Therefore, the art of teaching is the art to help to discover.
In this last teaching experience of this semester I have learnt a lot of things about to be an Englishteacher and so on. Days occurred on secondary school taught me to plan better, to carry on with extra material and to give a value to all those things that students usually do not value, like aphotocopy.
It is necessary teach to our students to value each thing that they have, even what they could not see with a naked eye. For example the awareness is not pretty valued by students. Although, asteacher you can change this thought and to change consciences. That is the most important task of the teacher. Perhaps, you can take two weeks for teaching to your students to respect among them, butthe following classes are going to be harmonious. It is necessary to mold to students from inside out.
This is the best that I could practice in this teaching practice period. Of course, I went toteach English, but I could have the opportunity to be closer to my students. I talked about things that they interest in and I teach how to make a note. Nevertheless, I think that I get to touch theirsouls with my words. I found the way to touch them, to maintain the attention. The key is interest in them. Make them know that they are the best that exists in this world; that they are awesome andtell them that you can understand what they live and you are there to help them, not just in the English subject, but rather in everything else. Making this you have to your students on your side....
