Location: Southern Asia, north and west ok Pakistan, cast of Iran.
Climate: Arid to semiarid, cold winters and hot summers.
Religions: In Costa Rica are many type of religions andtraditionals, but in Afghanistan their religions predominate is Sunni Muslim with 80% and Shi’a Muslim with 19%.

It is very important known about their language Pashtu andDari are the official language og Afghanistan. Dari has always been used for business and government transactions.

The family is the single most important unit in theAfghan culture. The head male of a family is responsible for protecting the honour of the family.

Gift giving etiquette
 First rule of gift giving is to never gift alcohol.
 The first time you goto someone is house for tea, it is appropiate to bring a small gift.
 Don’t gift something green, because that is for weddings.

Dining etiquette

• Always remove your shoes at the door ifvisiting a home.
• Food is served on plastic or vinyl table cloths spread on the floor.
• Do not eat with the left hand.
• Always pass and recive things using your right hand too.

What to wear?

Men should wear conservative suits and shoes, but if you working there, wearing long shirt and trousers.
 Women must always dress modestly and conservatively, but if working in business, women shouldwear knee-length. Wearing headscarf is advisable.

 Business is very much personal in Afghanistan.
 Meeting schedules are not very structured. Start times, points ofdiscussion, etc are full fluid and flexible.
 Honour and shame should always be considered. Never make accusations or speak down to anyone.
