The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. This book was written by the Irish author Clive Staples Lewis who is also the writer of the others book that are part of the chronicles of Narnia.
The storybegins when four children whose names were Peter, Susan, Edmund and Lucy were sent away from London during the world war II. They were sent to the historical house of an old professor who live withonly his housekeeper and three servants.
One day, while playing a game, Lucy, the youngest, hides in a wardrobe and discovers that it leads to a magical world called Narnia. This land, which isinhabited by talking animals, is ruled by the lion Aslan, a good and powerful king. Narnia, however, had come under the spell of the evil White Witch whose name is Jadis, she has made an enchantment overthe whole country so that it is always winter but never Christmas there. Lucy meets Mr. Tumnus, a faun who becomes her friend. When she returns to the wardrobe and comes out, none of her siblingsbelieve her. Lucy is upset that her brothers and sister do not believe her since she is a very honest person. However one day her spiteful older brother Edmund enters the wardrobe and meets the WhiteWitch, who befriends him and offers him magical Turkish delight that enchants him. She encourages him to bring his siblings to her in Narnia, with the promise that he shall become the Prince of Narnia.Edmund joins Lucy in Narnia and then returns with her to the Professor's house.
A few morning later when some visitors come to professor´s house. Eventually all four of the children enter Narniatogether while hiding in the wardrobe. They meet Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, The beavers recount the prophecy that the witch's power will fail when two Sons of Adam and two Daughters of Eve fill the fourthrones at Cair Paravel.
Edmund betray their siblings and go with the White Witch. Nevertheless, the beavers lead the children to Aslan. By the time they were traveling, they notice that the snow is...
